As part of the decennial reaffirmation of accreditation, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges requires each institution to develop a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) that focuses on learning outcomes and/or the environment supporting student learning. UCF is now in the process of selecting a new QEP topic for 2016. For additional information on the selection process, go to

What if? A Foundation for Information Fluency was the topic for the 2006 QEP. Many of its components have been institutionalized and have resulted in campus improvements in both student learning and the environment supporting student learning. Some of the projects that have been sustained on campus include the Information Literacy (Infolit) Modules, the expansion of the University Writing Center, the UCF Information Fluency Awards, and the inclusion of information-fluency concepts into many courses and programs of study through IF Engagement and Enhancement Grants.
