Reflecting on the acquisition, evaluation, and use of information in today's knowledge economy, IF 2008 is a forum for scholars to identify and define the future of Knowledge Rights and Information Sharing.
Highlighted Events include:
- Sessions on intellectual property in the digital age, knowledge management in government and across cultures, and on academic integrity
- Interactive panel discussion of the proposed X-F grade policy
- Innovative technologies for Ethics Education - The PROSE Lab Ethical Dilemma Role Playing Game and the Interactive Performance Lab's "EthicsBox"

The conference is open to participation and presentation of all academic levels (faculty, administrators, graduate and undergraduate students).
The University of Central Florida is a major metropolitan research university with a student population of over 44,000. The expansive campus includes a major research park, state of the art exercise and athletic facilities, and nearby hotels and restaurants. It is situated near the area's tourist attractions (Disney World, MGM Studios, Universal Studios, Epcot Center, and others) and is only 30 minutes from Kennedy Space Center and the beaches.
This conference was created as part of the University of Central Florida's Quality Enhancement Plan for Information Fluency, the Department of Philosophy Ethics Center Initiative, and the Department of Philosophy and AAC&U grant for Core Committments: Educating Students for Personal and Social Responsibility.
