Significant Accomplishments in 2006-2007
- Presented a featured session on information fluency at the annual meeting of EDUCAUSE in Dallas, October 2006
- Conducted a session on UCF's QEP at the annual meeting of SACS, December 2006
- Conducted a workshop on information fluency at the annual meeting of the EDUCAUSE Learning Inititiative in Atlanta, January 2007
- As a result of the EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative Workshop, the QEP Team was invited to do a presentation at the MERLOT (Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning Online) International Conference in New Orleans, August 2007
- Invited to do the preparation for a QEP presentation for SACS in June in Atlanta
- UCF's QEP was featured in a special issue of the Educational Pathways newsletter
- Chuck Dziuban is writing three white papers on information literacy for the EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative for worldwide distribution
- Martha Marinara was apppointed to the planning committee for the EDUCAUSE focus group on information literacy in Boulder, Colorado in August 2007
- Chuck Dziuban was appointed to the National Policy Council for Information and Communication Technology
- Chuck Dziuban's paper on information literacy was published in the most recent issue of the EDUCAUSE Quarterly
- The QEP Team was invited by George Mason University to do a joint presentation on information literacy at the upcoming EDUCAUSE meeting
- Invited by the Teaching and Learning with Technology Group to do an online workshop on Information Literacy
- Presented at the Annual SACS-COC Meeting in December on how to keep the QEP momentum going
- Conducted an IE Assessment Plan and Information Fluency workshop with UCF Assessment Coordinators in August to assist them in identifying areas to incorporate information fluency in their program assessment plans
Things that we are accomplishing in 2007-2008
- Continuing to develop the QEP's momentum within the campus environment
- Scaling evaluation and development (iSkills, CAL, Project SAILS)
- Broadening the campus leadership base for information fluency
- Continuing to develop a national and international reputation and expertise in information fluency
- Encouraging and supporting faculty publications in information fluency
